More Survivor for Jeff

CBS has approved two more series of Survivor. Jeff Probst has signed on again as host.

CBS’ latest move takes the series through to series 18 in 2009. The 16th series is to air in the US from Feb 7. Set in Micronesia it is a “Fans v Favourites” edition.

Nine will air the finale for Survivor: China (Series 15) on Saturday February 9.

No word yet if Survivor: Micronesia will follow in the Nine timeslot on February 16, currently standing as a 2.5 hr “TBA” vacancy.

  1. i doubt the show would go on without Jeff…. apart from being the host of the show he is also an Executive Producer.

    Like everyone else i hope they show it close to the US screening date….will save me downloading it

  2. It is so hard to find information if the Nine Network will air Season 16. Calling them provides no answers!
    I am figuring that with the writer’s strike that they would be keen to air the show. I think that Nine would be suprised with their ratings if they let it run during ratings season in the Saturday Night timeslot. Channel Nine could take a leaf out of some British networks and patiently build a loyal viewing base instead of knee-jerk reactions to limited ratings data.   3. Please Channel 9 – Give us the next series of Survivor in a timely manner (close to U.S. screening dates) so that we can avoid spoilers. I don’t crae what night of the week or what time – I and many people I know never miss it. love the double with Wife Swap – the whole family watches.
