Airdate: Ramsay’s Kitchen Nightmares

The popularity of Gordon Ramsay continues to resonate with Nine, in a way which it probably hasn’t seen since the Supernanny left the building.

Melbourne viewers are getting a double serve of the show due to scheduling switches involving the replacement of Underbelly (replaced by CSI: Miami, itself replaced by Kitchen Nightmares USA).

Around the rest of the country there has been a big response to Kitchen Nightmares USA on Thursday evenings. Last week it scored nearly 1.2m viewers.

Now Melbourne is about to get the UK’s Ramsay’s Kitchen Nightmares on Thursdays (leaving the US version on Tuesdays).

Nine will screen the “La Parra” episode from tomorrow at 9:30pm.

It’s odd they didn’t leave the US version on Thursdays, where it would have attracted one single ratings figure.

Meanwhile no sign yet for the unfinished season of Hell’s Kitchen, but clearly Nine can’t get enough of their new-found chef.

UPDATE: More changes.

  1. I agree – I am loving the series and loving being in Melbourne to get my double dose (Under… what?).

For those outside Melbourne, just wait till you see the episode shown in Melbourne last night ‘Secret Garden’. Ramsay goes the most mental we’ve seen yet and almost walks off the job after a massive shouting match. Priceless!

  2. I am obsessed with Gordon Ramsay and Kitchen Nightmares.. He is one of those chefs I’d admire and watching his reaction towards those kitchens is the best. So thankyou nine for showing it, clearly I can’t get enough of him so is my wife.
