Dance tops the week’s 100 shows

TEN’s reality show So You Think You Can Dance finished the week as our new #1 television programme.

It topped the week with 1.6m viewers. The show had two entries in the top ten.

But it wasn’t enough to help TEN win the first week of ratings, which fell to the Nine Network (as reported earlier).

Now that the first week of ratings is over, TV Tonight resumes listing the weekly Top 100 in the Ratings Archive.

A Rugby Union match finished the week as the #1 Pay TV programme with 123,000 viewers. Judge John Deed was the top non-sports programme on subscription television.

Gossip Girl averaged 44,000 and American Idol 45,000.

The final An Aussie Goes Bolly only had an average audience of 28,000 viewers. Meanwhile locally produced Blood Sweat and Gears didn’t even make the Top 100, putting it below 23,000. Most Foxtel programmes have more than one screening, diminishing their weekly average figure.

The weekly Top 100 are added each Monday to the Ratings Archive.
