Seven wants Ramsay on its Dance card

A sneaky plan by Seven to lure Gordon Ramsay as a contestant to Dancing with the Stars hasn’t succeeded, says news.com.au

It’s beyond belief that the international star would have time to pause his rocketing career for 12 weeks of dancing for Seven.

He reportedly pockets $10 million for each of his 3 TV projects, and he has 25 restaurants and pubs globally. Plus there is talk of a local series to be made for Nine.

Meanwhile, Seven is also rumoured to be courting the top four finalists of So You Think You Can Dance Australia. But contracts are likely to get in the way, particularly for the show’s winner, Jack Chambers.

Choreographer Jason Gilkinson has also been named as a possible replacement should Todd McKenney be forced out of the show. Seven has thus far stood by McKenney, who has his first court appearance next week.

  3. I find it quite hypocritical of seven trying to get Ramsay onto one of there shows, while at the same time running negative stories against him on today tonight(i.e the story on TT last night about him and how the catholic church want him banned from Australian tv).
    If I was Gordon Ramsay, I would tell 7 to go and take a “long run off a short pier”.

Seven is the best network to watch right now, Desperate Housewives, Boston Legal, HIMYM, and heaps of other shows on the network are way better than the crap on other channels. And you think Seven are desperate? Just last week, Nine had 3 Gordon Ramsay shows on on different days in primetime timeslots. Without him they’d be in even worse shape than they are.

  6. Poor Seven are really getting desperate. Instead of creating their own hits they are trying to leech off the success of Nine & 10.They have simply run out of ideas and are starting to look stale and old. Without their tired variety shows and news/tt they would be in even worse shape then they are.
