The ABC reports that Perth’s community television station Channel 31 will remain on the air after receiving a donation from a local businessman.
“The station’s board believes the money will be enough to keep the station afloat for another 18 months, by which time it expects the Federal Government will be ready to switch it to the digital spectrum,” it says.
Board member Gerry Gannon says the station will hold a review over the coming months to come up with ways to keep costs down.
On Saturday the board delayed making a final decision on winding up the station.

Its like a friend lending you money to pay the rent!
If the Gov wont fit the bill now, why would they in 18 months?
