Now that he’s arriving a few days earlier than planned, the barnstorming tour by Pope Benedict will begin this Sunday afternoon with live coverage at 3pm AEST on SBS. World News Australia reporter Auskar Surbakti will be flying on the same plane as the Pope.

SBS is the official broadcaster for the World Youth Day events, but that hasn’t stopped Seven from also jumping on the bandwag, err Popemobile…. it will screen the Pope’s Sydney Harbour arrival at World Youth Day at 4:30pm Thursday July 17.

  1. Has anyone seen the reports of these people protesting the Pope? Wearing shirts like “There is no God” and such, whats the point of protesting the Pope? You think it will really cause him to change his stance? “There’s no God? Really? Aw well, I guess I’ll call it a day and take up fishing”
