Executive appointment at WIN

WIN Television has appointed John Hatcher to the role of Executive Vice President.

Mr Hatcher has produced a number of programmes including WINs daytime food program, Alive and Cooking, via his own production company.

He has also worked for Network TEN as National Sales Manager following his position as General Manager at Channel TEN Adelaide. Mr Hatcher also spent nine years as Managing Director for South Australia’s Media Sales Network incorporating the role of SA Sales Director for Network TEN.

WIN Corporation Executive Chairman, Andrew Gordon, today announced the appointment of John Hatcher, to the role of Executive Vice President.

Reporting to the Managing Director, David Butorac, John Hatcher will lead the Corporation’s core business, WIN Television, with a specific focus on strategic planning, operational execution and expanding local production output.

“It is with great pleasure that I welcome John as a member of WIN’s newly structured executive team,” WIN Executive Chairman, Andrew Gordon, said. “John is one of the most experienced television executives in the country and has had a stellar career in media.”

Andrew Gordon continued, “He has demonstrated capacity to deliver high quality productions, producing television for us and many other broadcasters. WIN looks forward to leveraging his experience to develop our portfolio of programs.”

Mr Hatcher most recently established his own independent production company producing a number of successful programs, including WIN’s daytime food program, Alive and Cooking, and working with some of Australia’s leading brands.

Prior to that, Mr Hatcher worked for Network Ten as National Sales Manager following his position as General Manager at Channel Ten Adelaide. Mr Hatcher also spent nine years as Managing Director for South Australia’s Media Sales Network incorporating the role of SA Sales Director for Network Ten.

On accepting the position, Mr Hatcher said, “I’m very excited about joining WIN and look forward to contributing to the future development of the business.”

This announcement follows the recent appointment of Tracy Devereux (nee Richardson) to the position of Chief Marketing Officer, WIN Corporation and Chris Williamson to the position of Head of Digital Media, WIN Corporation.

Mr Hatcher will commence as Executive Vice President with WIN Monday, 25th August 2008 based at WIN Corporation headquarters in Wollongong.
