Here are the complete audition tour details for Australia’s Next Top Model from Townsville to Perth.

The application form again stipulates contestants must be female and aged between 16-23 years as at 1st January 2009. It reads in part, “You understand that you may be filmed, recorded and photographed while clothed, partially clothed or naked…. The Producers may also conduct background checks and may investigate, amongst other things, your criminal history.”

Applicants under the age of 18 must submit an application that is signed and agreed by a Parent or Guardian.

Once again the applications are thorough in their seeking of information, with 100 questions, almost identical to the 2007 applications.

It is reasonable that a reality show putting minors into a communal house is fully versed on relevant personal and medical information of its participants. To do anything less wouldn’t meet a duty of care. That said, there are again some confronting questions for applicants, including:

Do you have a home page on the internet? If so what is the address?
Why would we choose you as opposed to the girls sitting next to you?
Have you ever been arrested?
Have you ever been charged with a crime?
Have you ever been convicted of a crime?
Have you ever had a restraining order issued against you?
Have you ever had a restraining order issued against someone else?
What are your thoughts on religion?
Are politics important to you?
How often do you get drunk?
Have you ever been diagnosed with, or treated for, alcoholism or any other drug-related addiction?
How often do you lose your temper?
When was the last time you hit, kicked or punched something in anger?
What are you most ashamed of, either now or in your past?
Have you ever been to a nude beach?
How do you deal with someone who intimidates you?
Do you have a strategy for winning the contest?

Producers indicate they may conduct criminal checks to verify supplied information.

The FOXTEL search is about to begin for AUSTRALIA’S NEXT TOP MODEL, with a nationwide audition tour starting on October 13 to select the finalists who will star in the fifth series of the smash hit FOX8 reality program.

Produced by Granada Productions for FOXTEL, AUSTRALIA’S NEXT TOP MODEL follows the transformation of young women into potential supermodels as they are initiated into the high-stakes world of modelling.

Auditions for the fifth series will be held from October 13, beginning in Sydney then on to the Gold Coast, Townsville, Melbourne, Adelaide, Perth and Newcastle.

Girls who think they’ve got what it takes can find full details and download an application form on the website – www.FOX8.tv.

Alternatively, they can find their nearest audition location and get an application form by texting their postcode to 1999 ANTM (1999 2686)*. Viewers with an internet enabled mobile phone can also get audition maps, sign up for more information and receive top tips on how to get noticed prior to their audition date.

If girls don’t have an application form they can still turn up on the day of auditions and wait for a chance to strut their stuff before the judges.

Entrants must be Australian females aged between 16 and 23, and for the first time the height has been raised to a minimum of 172cm.

Following the nationwide audition process, a group of finalists will be chosen to live together in the top model house and star in the next series of AUSTRALIA’S NEXT TOP MODEL, premiering on FOX8 in early 2009. FOXTEL is still to announce a host for the fifth series.
