Partying Brooke Hanson misses media commitments

Everyone who participates in eviction style shows knows the gig requires media, including post-show interviews. But who likes to par-tay!

Everyone who participates in eviction style shows knows part of the gig requires media, including post-show interviews. Whenever anyone is turfed from Big Brother, Australian Idol, So You Think You Can Dance or Dancing with the Stars there is always a solid day of media interviews.

Yesterday, Brooke Hanson, who was sent packing from Seven’s dance card on Sunday night missed her round of interviews, putting her out of favour with Seven publicity.

Hanson was scheduled to do five phone interviews yesterday morning, including one with with Seven’s online arm Yahoo!7, but could not be reached by publicists. Her mobile was turned off and her manager, husband Jared Clarke, did not return calls.

“Every contestant who departs Dancing with the Stars has a series of interviews the next day as part of their commitment to the show and as a chance to thank their fans and chosen charity,” a spokeswoman told news.com.au.

“We have been unable to reach Brooke all day.”

Hanson’s dancing partner John Paul Collins revealed the two had been drowning their sorrows until 6am yesterday.

“We promised each other that when we got kicked off we’d have a big night, but she knew she had to do media when I dropped her off in the cab,” he said;.

Collins says they partied along Melbourne’s Chapel St after bumping into the South Sydney Rabbitohs, who were also commiserating following their 38-point hiding from Melbourne Storm on Sunday.

“She knew she had to do media though when I dropped her off in the cab. I’m a bit worried because she said then she had her first interview in two hours,” said Collins.
