Australian Story: Fireworks in the Family

The ABC returns to a feuding family and their fireworks business eight years after they first appeared.

Eight years ago, Australian Story profiled Sydney’s Howard family, responsible for providing fireworks at the Olympics, Commonwealth Games and New Years Eve celebrations. Back then the ABC profiled a house divided, with two brothers running rival businesses after a bitter family feud.

This Monday it revisits the clan, to find much has changed: the death of a brother, the demise of one company and the next generation forced to deal with the biggest challenge to the family business so far.

It airs 8pm Monday on ABC1.
