Nooooooo. Just 11 episodes in, one of the members of Rush is about to be killed off.

Hope you’re sitting down for this one.

TV Tonight can reveal one of the characters in Rush is about to get bumped off.

Next week sees the Tactical Response Unit tackles a bomber in a taut, unsettling episode. But not everything goes to plan…

The following week one of the characters will die. At just eleven episodes in to the new TEN series it’s a big call (wouldn’t you hate to be that actor?).

I dunno about you but I’m not really ready to lose any of the team just yet.

The episode will air 9:30pm November 11 on TEN.

  1. I have really enjoyed Rush, it is the best aussie drama on tv at the moment. But killing Grace was a big mistake. Grace was my favourite and I loved the chemistry between Grace & Josh. I understand Claire VDB wanted to leave, but I’m still not happy with the writers for killing off Grace. Why couldn’t they just write her out of it? Why does everything have to be sad? Claire was available to shoot the 13 eps, yet they killed her in ep11 (and barely used her in that ep). The writers could have wrapped up the storyline they’d been exploring for 10 weeks in that time, instead they decided to bump her off. That’s an easy way out. Whats more, what if Claire decides LA isn’t for her and she wants to come back? I know I’d love her too, but whoops she’s dead.

  2. i love this show, and i thought the fraught chemistry btwn grace and josh was one of the most interesting & believable things about it. they were both great actors, too. Killing off grace seems the lazy option to me – a cheap melodratic shot, when pursuing her plot-line would have been harder. Of course, there may have been off-screen reasons – who knows. Either way, i hope it remains watchable (and poor josh! i remember him from heartbreak high, when i was 16!)

  4. Best show on tv with the strongest actors so I really hope if it has to be someone from the main team that it’s Michael. Dom’s lovable so don’t want him to go and Grace is a crucial part of the show dynamic so don’t want to lose her either.

    I think Sandrine would be good as then we’d have to see how Dom coped as a single Dad or COnnor to see how Josh and Grace cope with the guilt and get past it.

  5. The show is the best thing currently on tv. The actors are a credit to the show and it will be a real shame if any of them are going to leave – dom is an asset to the show as are all the actors, each adding to the overall success of the show. The show has me hooked. Love it 🙂

  6. Must admit that “Rush’ is good escapism tv = far better than The Strip.
    More realistic characters, more likeable too.
    Plus storylines bit more believable.

  12. I love Rush, it’s surprising they’re killing someone off so early but my bets are on Dom. Will this mean a new crew member?

    This show reminds me so much of Police Rescue which I also loved.

  13. Well, it’s better than The Strip, where the acting is sooooo bad it’s actually laughable. I don’t think Rush is the best thing on tv at the moment, but I’ll watch it.

    My guess is that it will be Dom. Too many “anvils” with the difficult pregnancy for his wife, under pressure in the job etc.

    I don’t know what the character of Kerry is supposed to add to the show – I groan everytime she comes on screen with her Uber-Butch swagger. And Grace I just feel like slapping. Do you think her character is supposed to speak as tho’ she’s just sooooo bored with life, or is it just the poor acting by the actress?

    I like Stella and Michael, and Lawson, sometimes Josh, but they really do need to up the ante with the storylines.

  15. On the subject of Catherine McClements, she is featured on the cover article of the November issue of theage(melbourne)magazine, which comes free with The Age in Melbourne metro this Friday.

  16. I hope you are right Rachel cos I like Dom’s character, he has more than one dimension, unlike Kerry who just shits me, and if the ‘attraction’ they have been hinting at bw her and Lawson comes to fruition, I may have to violently vomit! 😉

  18. It can’t be Dom, can it? He’s in the last episode, as seen in an article on here, The Rush Identity! So are Kerry and Lawson. Maybe it’s Grace? It doesn’t say whether it’s a main character, so it could be Sandrine or Connor!

  19. If they were at all predictable and formulaic, it’d have to be the new dad, Dom…

    I hope they kill off Kerry (Catherine McClements) her character doesn’t really add much IMO.

  20. Oh well, they had to do something as the scripts are woeful. I stopped watching after the episode with the 2 losers robbing a pub.
    That script was just so bad I could not stand it anymore.
    Why not kill off all the team?

  21. It will be Dom of course! they have been hinting at it for ages now…pulling at our heart strings with the pregnant wife, making us feel for him while Lawson is cold and unfeeling about his predicament….so bloody obvious! : (
