Denyer returns for Carols

As expected, Grant Denyer will co-host Sydney's Carols in the Domain with Kate Ritchie this Saturday.

As expected, Grant Denyer will co-host Sydney’s Carols in the Domain this Saturday.

Denyer co-hosts with Kate Ritchie, repeating their roles in 2007.

It will be his first gig since he was injured in September when he landed heavily during a demonstration jump over five wrecked cars. The 31-year-old crushed his lower vertebrae in the accident, requiring months of rest and rehabilitation.

Denyer has long said he intended to be ready to work for the xmas event.

“I have always had the Carols in the Domain gig firmly in my sights as a goal for returning to work since I began my recovery process,” he said.

“I’ve been flat on my back for three months now and can’t imagine a better stage to walk onto.”

Seven screens the concert this Saturday featuring Delta Goodrem, Shannon Noll, Guy Sebastian, Brian McFadden, Paulini, David Hobson, Deni Hines, Christine Anu, Amelia Farrugia, Melinda Schneider and The Wiggles.

  1. Thats great that Grant has recovered enough to host Carols. Will be looking forward to the show, especially Melinda Schneider. I have a soft spot for country music and she has a great voice.

  2. Well, Kate told News Limited papers today that she was surprised when she got a phone call from Seven asking if she wanted to host Carols in the Domain again.

  3. This is where I would usually say “More Denyer?” but we haven’t seen him for a while so that’s okay. This might change after a few months of Australia’s Got Talent and It Takes Two though.
