Gallery: Making Carla Cametti, PD.

In a rare move from TV publicists, SBS offers up behind the scenes pics of Carla Cametti's producers, directors, writers and crew.

Locally made SBS series Carla Cametti, P.D is winning a following, with viewers drawn towards its “girl’s own crime stories” and a heavy European flavour in its production.

Diana Glenn continues to impress as a strong lead actress, including through her work in Satisfaction and Canal Road.

As you know, TV Tonight loves to take you behind the scenes of local productions, helping to deconstruct the making of television. Most of the time this is through direct set visits.

But in the case of the SBS drama, the network has actually done it themselves. In a rare move, SBS has made available photos of the show being filmed, including its producers, directors, writers, and crew.

Normally networks only ever provide “on camera” pics for publicity purposes. It can be quite a trial to liaise set visits sometimes, with publicists often unnerved about unflattering shots of talent getting out. So congrats to SBS for making the move with these pics taken by photographer Greg Noakes -probably the best in the biz.

If you want to see more television networks providing you with “behind the scenes” pics leave a comment below. It may have some effect!
