rage gets really, really retro

Move over Countdown, rage remembers The Factory, Recovery, Flashez, Beatbox and Hit Scene.

For the past few weeks rage has been rockin’ out with loads of glorious Countdown episodes, but this weekend it delves deeper into its archive closet and dusts off a heap of other musical treats.

Get ready for The Factory, Recovery, Flashez, Beatbox and Hit Scene. Get set for a young Alex Papps, Dylan Lewis, Tania Lacey plus Ray Burgess, Andrew Daddo, and John Paul Young. There will also be a handful of live performance clips, interviews and stories from GTK, Recovery J-Files on iconic local artists, as well as some classic Aussie music videos.

  1. Did they show the Jane Gazzo/Dandy Warhols interview. I always thought she was hopeless, but I missed that interview. The Jarvis Cocker interactions were pretty bad.

  2. umm

This is actually a pretty standard play list for rage when they have a throwback.
These clips have been played on Rage for years now. They have been airing flashbacks of The Factory, Recovery, Flashez, Beatbox for years now, I don’t think they have ever even stopped the Recovery re-runs, (considering how horrible a show it was)

  3. If only they could pull out God doing My Pal from The Factory (1988), they have had it before but alas I missed it that night, would love to get a good copy of it with the Late Great Tim Hemensley in full flight, maybe again one day.

  4. Can live without Recovery & The Factory both are extremely meh.
But on the plus side we get seven x Flashez & some awesome sounding Countdown promos!!! I’ve been lamenting the lack of Flashez clips for the last few weeks and we’re finally getting some..
Only one Countdown which is a little disappointing but according to the Rage moderator we’re getting a few next week!

  5. Haha, you beat me to it PT Ryan 🙂 Finally I can get a gopd capture of that, along with the uncomfortable banter between Jane Gazzo and Jarvis Cocker 🙂
