Returning: Britannia High

UK tween musical series is getting a second chance on Seven on Saturday arvos.

Sometimes when shows are pulled they actually find their way back to screen elsewhere (case in point: America’s Next Top Model, Taken Out).

Seven has a fairly good track record of finding a slot for pulled programmes further down the track.

Britannia High which was dropped after just one episode in December, will return on Saturday arvos at 12pm from January 31st.

The UK drama is something of a lightweight Fame and features Australia’s Adam Garcia and Mitch Hewer from Skins. Some of the songs are by Gary Barlow and Guy Chambers (if you watched Star Stories last night you can quit laughing now).

And in the most ironic programming move so far this year, the cheesy Britannia High will be followed by a movie: The Poof Point.

You can start laughing again now.

  1. it really should have started there.

i absolutely hated it but i know that there are people out there that were enjoying it and were dissapointed when it left.

  2. I was actually looking forward to the show in the beginning, but once I watched it i wanted to kill myself! So boring and its pretty much a wanna-bee High School Musical, seriously!

  3. Fantastic!
I really enjoyed the first episode as it reminded me a bit of my childhood fave Fame.
Here’s hoping 7 keep the show in the stated timeslot after so much tooing & froing!!

  4. 1st of all… i was so excited about this show. It was disappointing – so boring! And Mitch Hewer looks nothing like when he was on Skins. He’s so ugly now.
