The latest rumour on Gretel Killeen suggests she may nab her own show on Nine.

gkRead what you will into this one, but there’s another rumour that Gretel Killeen won’t just host the Logies.

She could have her own series on Nine.

“It’s hard to imagine Gretel would be offered the Logies hosting gig if she didn’t have a TV show or something lined up,” Mike Goldman told news.com.au

According to the article, Nine’s programming chief Michael Healy has a soft spot for Killeen.

The next question will be…. which genre?

Last week, many readers here responded favourably to talk of her coming back to television.

  2. Another TV celeb that gets warehoused by Nine after they realise they do not have a show for here.Mind you she has to appear on celebrity singing bee, 20-1 and any other clip show on demand.

  7. I don’t know if Mike Goldman is the best source, but if it turns out to be true I’d be very happy. I agree with the others that with the reality sort of theme Nine has with L2L, Wipeout etc she perhaps fit a show like that. She has proven she can lift a show from mediocre to at least, merely watchable, and at most, addictive and entertaining, like she did with BB. BTW her hair in that pic looks so… “Crazy Cat Lady”-like.

  9. I think she is probably the best host on Australian tv she is quick on her toes and makes everything neat and tight in interviews. I think she wrote he own script on BigBro – Uncut. She also had the documentary of her and her family doing aid work in Africa. I think she could lend her voice to a project rather than a full on hosting gig.

  11. i know that mike goldman has no credibility on these things but he does have a good point. hosting the logies can really raise a career so it would seem to be a waste if there was no career to raise. there are so many undeveloped talents out there that could use it otherwise.

    if 9 want to keep up the tacky, cheap, rubbish image then i think gretel will be great for them. i don’t mean that in a bad way, i think she can make a trash show look more appealing.

    i know that that the magazine-style 5:30 show in sydney has just about been cancelled but i think she could do that.

  17. come on lets face it she was super bitchy on big brother. What is her show going to be about, Men hating?
    LOL either way good luck to her. Won’t be any worse than what nine dishes out to us week in week out.
