Underbelly’s most eligible bachelor

Underbelly's Damian Walshe-Howling is one of several TV stars to make the top 50 list of Cleo's most hunky single blokes.

dwhNice-guy actor Damian Walshe-Howling (Underbelly) is one of the 50 Most Eligible Bachelors chosen by Cleo Magazine for its annual title.

Other TV stars to make the shortlist are Angus McLaren (Packed To The Rafters), Luke Jacobz, Todd Lasance and Axle Whitehead (all Home & Away), Lawrence Leung (Lawrence Leung’s Choose Your Own Adventure), Rhys Uhlich (Make Me a Supermodel), and James Sorensen (Neighbours) .

Others include Channel [V] presenter Danny Clayton, choreographer Nacho Pop (So You Think You Can Dance Australia), lifeguard Tom Bunting (Bondi Rescue), Charlie Albone (Selling Houses Australia), Buck Palmer (Pedestrian Fashion) and former Seven sports presenter Ben Damon.

From behind the scenes, MTV programming operations assistant Luke Stutfield also made the list.

They join other sports stars, musicians and assorted eligible single men selected by the magazine’s judging panel. Several of the boys will be signing autographs and be available for fan photos at the staircase at the Grand Central Staircase, Sydney Central Plaza, Pitt St Mall today from 12-2pm.

The winner will be announced on April 22.

In 2008 the winner of the annual beefcake fest went to Getaway‘s Jason Dundas.

Whoever wins better beware. Just weeks after winning in 2009, Dundas landed in a hospital bed with stress fractures in his lower back following a segment filmed on the Great Wall of China.

    1. I usually try to log most stories that put TV names in awards etc, just as I’ve logged AIMIA awards now or Nickelodeon Kids Choice etc. Cleo Bachelor isn’t exactly “industry” I grant you, but it’s been around so long that it sometimes serves as a watercooler as to who is on the rise. It was also a heads up for those who wanted to meet some stars in person. But ultimately, sometimes we need to have a bit of fun!
