With a staggering 50 concerts booked around the country, is it any wonder Channel [V] devotes an entire day to the superstar?

channel-pnkChannel [V] goes all out for P!NK, and with a staggering 50 concerts booked, who can blame them? This is the largest tour ever staged in Australia.

For 24 hours on Saturday 6 June Channel [V] will be dedicated entirely to this star and even renames the channel in her honour.

It features Hanging with P!NK, a 60min documentary produced by Channel [V]; Pick You P!NK, a live interactive program with the play list of P!NK clips decided by viewer SMS votes; P!NK: Inside the Funhouse, an exclusive performance and interview; A-P of P!NK, all of her videos in chronological order; as well as several live P!NK concerts and videos galore.

There’s also a special Tour Bus which will be set up at 40 of P!NK’s concerts nationwide where fans can and record their “P!NK Confessions.”

Not quite sure what that means, but the most outrageous, most funny, and most insightful ones, will air on Channel [V].

  3. I am from the uk and heard about the channel through a friend who went to australlia on holiday? I love pink and think she is amazing, I have seen her three times and I am going to see her again at the end of oct. I am so jealous about this tv channel as we don’t have anything remotely cool like that over here. Is there any chance that I can watch the channel via the internet?
    I think it is amazing that she is so popular over there!

  5. I do like some of her songs, but would have to agree that she is perhaps the most overhyped, overrated artist ever – I mean come on, she is nothing special, when will people wake up?

  6. Foxtel should take note of Pink fans and launch Channel P!NK as a seperate channel from Channel V. Pink should even launch this channel and it should be aired on Channel 804! Anything P!nk related should air on the channel from Essential Pink, Top 20 Pink, Making the Video:Sober, to MAX Masters Pink, Pink : Inside the Funhouse and Hanging with Pink. Ithink it’s a fantastic idea to get more exposure and I think that Pink fans deserve to have their own 24-7 fanbase channel. Anything who hates Pink is just jealous.

  9. Pink is seriously overrated, not to mention incredibly opinionated and arrogant. She has a few good songs, but nothing to justify her attitude or the sycophantic following she has.

  10. Its not teeny bopper music, she has a huge gay following like Kylie. I think she has done well for herself and seems to keep true to her style.

  13. She is, as Randy Jackson would say on American Idol, “aaiiight” (and her being a genuinely nice and unpretentious person helps.. take note, Gaga!). But seriously, how did Pink’s popularity get to the stage where she sells out 50 stadium shows at ludicrous prices in the middle of a recession?

    Hmm. Maybe it was the very wise choice of hiring bona fide pop genius Max Martin to produce some of her songs 😉 He’s a one-man Abba, that guy.

  14. She should rake in 100 mill (or fairly close to it) from the Aus concerts, which is no chump change, but after taxes, wages and other costs, probably 70. Madonna could’ve done the same earlier in her career, if she hadn’t treated Australia with contempt.

  17. ugh… most overexposed artist ever. At my work we we have vetoed Pink, we change the station whenever one of her songs comes on… which happens far too often.
