Famke Janssen to reprise Nip / Tuck role

It's a long (very long) way off, but Famke Janssen will return to Nip / Tuck for the show's last ever finale, says writer Ryan Murphy.

famkeWell if we can’t have The Carver back, here’s the next best thing.

The spell-binding Famke Janssen will reprise her role as transexual sociopath Ava Moore for Nip / Tuck‘s final season.

“Just finished the last script today — the 100th episode,” creator Ryan Murphy wrote on a fan forum. “The end. Very strange. But I thought I would confirm something here on the forum, since you’ve all been so great and loyal: Ava Moore (Famke!) returns for the final two episodes.”

Ava, arguably one of the show’s most memorable characters ever, was last seen jetting off to Paris shortly after completing her final gender reassignment surgery at the end of season 2.

However, Australia is now miles behind the US (thanks, Nine!), so don’t expect this for years to come. It’s actually a long way off in the US too, not expected to air until 2011.

Hopefully Murphy’s new series Glee take off in the meantime. It isn’t yet clear who gets the musical drama first in Australia, Foxtel or TEN, with the latter confirming it will screen it regardless of who gets it first.

  1. I cant believe that you even bother to talk about Nip Tuck on this site. I just buy it when the latest season comes out on DVD in Australia. Nine just killed it off like it does all other good shows or confines them to the grave yard shift. Nine can we please have more video clips shows and endless CSI shows. I want you to hasten your demise so that we can start getting some intelligent programming in this country.

  2. Yes!

Famke (a personal favourite) was incredible on the show and her storyline made it the best season of the show.

Unfortunately for me this was the best season and every season thereafter declined in quality.

I will however return for these episodes. I still remember my jaw dropping when you learned the truth about Ava… brilliant.
