Chris Taylor takes his leave tonight from The Chaser but will be back shortly to front a series on treasures from Australia’s National Heritage List.
In the third season of five-minute mini-documentaries in the National Treasures series, he travels around Australia delivering historical snapshots of places from the National Heritage List.
Taylor visits various places of significance, including Fremantle Prison and the ruins of the Dutch merchant ship Batavia in Western Australia, the Eureka flag and the Melbourne Cricket Ground in Victoria, Francis De Groot’s sword in NSW and the Naracoorte Caves Fossil Mammal site in South Australia.
In the first mini-documentary of the series, Taylor takes a closer look at the Eureka Flag, first flown by a group of rebellious gold miners at the 1854 Eureka Stockade.
It airs 6:50pm Thursday August 6th on ABC1.

Yeah, I miss the chaser guys already.
Should be a worthy replacement for Warren Brown who presented the previous series. While a chance for some wry humor; might only be ‘controversial’ amongst a few dusty old history Professors (retired)!
Sounds interesting… i will watch just because it has Chris.. 😛
