Why did it take so long to move this show? To be replaced by a movie.

And here’s another move we all saw coming.
TEN is moving The Biggest Loser US from Sunday nights. Why did it take so long?
The show moves to Sunday arvos at 1:30pm for anybody who cares, from August 16th. This week it remains at 10:45pm.
On August 16th, TEN replaces it with a movie replay, There’s Something About Mary at 9:50pm following Rove.
UPDATED: Back on TEN Sept 13.

Sunday 30th August and no U.S. Biggest Loser!!! Where is it now???? Can Ten please announce where the show is?!!!!
Back Sunday arvo Sept 13th.
Many thanks for the update David. The ‘other half’ will be very pleased to hear that it hasn’t vanished into the void.
Is there somewhere I can find this info without having to bother you? I looked in the advanced guides, but (as of 29/8) they only listed up till 6/9.
The guides are showing it’s been dropped from Sunday arvo (30/8). Anyone know if it’s been bumped elsewhere or dumped altogether?
Returns 1:30pm Sun Sept 13.
It’s taken me this long to find out where it’d gone too! Darn it! Biggest Loser was my fave part of Sunday Night.
Lol jesse, you……..are……..soooo…………right.
I missed the Sunday arvo (16th) episode as didn’t notice the time change!!! What happened???
This is very annoying – I’m so sick of shows I like watching being pulled off the air or being shifted to random timeslots. I much rather the US show than the Australian show which is massively and pointlessly drawn out just to put it on the air 6 times per week!
Seriously, every single word –
This….will….*shot of AJ*….change….*shots back to contestants*…the *shots back to AJ* game…*shots back to contestants* forever!
I still wonder how long it’s gonna take Ten to work out that the 10.30 Sunday timeslot is not a huge ratings slot…
TEN has a smaller movie collection than I do. Another movie that’s been on a million times, jeezus…
They are damned if they do and damned if they dont. complaints when channels yank things off air after 1 episode and then complaints if they leave it on to try to build an audience.
I’m sad… I liked Biggest Loser late nights on Sunday night… oh well… again I fall victim to dictatorship the that is network television… *sigh*
At least they keep it on air for the people who do care.
I hope that Ten also screen the third season of Californication sometime on Sunday night. Assuming they screen Nurse Jackie following Rove, Californication could air after that (although Belinda’s comment was the first time I had heard anything about that program coming to Ten).
Funny, we use to like American shows, now we like our versions better, now thats gotta be a good thing.
@stevie g – OOTB runs for another 67 eps after the one shown on Sunday.
Despite being behind a few series’, i was still watching Biggest Loser: Couples US. Interesting to see their ideas gradually make their way over to the Australian series this year (a few identical team challenges for example).
I thought the writing was on the wall last week, when there were two movies on – and no episode. But was surprised that it started after the devil wears prada.
My Sunday night viewing habits will change again, i don’t stick with DWTS for the full two hours, it may end up being another dvd night.
I happened to see some of Out of the blue this Sunday. The killer was finally revealed, so I’d say it would be finishing up soon.
thanks david i am watching it and actually that is a better time i have it programmed into the iq so lets hope that remembers to change
Oh I thought Nurse Jackie was starting when Rove came back. Do we know how long we will have to wait for that?
I must say I am not always a big fan of US reality TV, but these guys were the originals, and it is easier to watch once a week or twice than every bloody night, like the Aussie Version.
Just my opinion. I was quite enjoying it!
I’m Still Waiting for Ten to move Out of the Blue to an Earlier Timeslot air it for an Whole Hour Instead of having to air it at 5:30p.m. on Sundays which just 300,000 viewers around australia tuning in for a single episode.
Has to be after 5 for drama points, Jellyman.
