Futurama cast on board

After that very public stand-off over salaries, the cast have signed on for Comedy Central's new episodes for 2010.

futurama-1No surprises here. The voice cast of Futurama have signed on for new episodes following a stand-off over salaries.

Katey Sagal, Maurice LaMarche, Tress MacNeille, John DiMaggio and Billy West have all signed on for new episodes to be made for Comedy Central in mid-2010.

Both sides have reportedly made compromises to bridge the initial salary gap.

In the public dispute, 20th Century TV had issued casting notices to casting directors in a search for sound-a-like actors.

Fans reacted by vetoing any cast changes and petitioning for the original actors to come back.

At Comic-Con last week, co-creators Matt Groening and David X. Cohen also spoke in support of the actors.

  1. We all knew this would happen.

haha, still have to have a bit of a laugh at all those who said “im never watching futurama again if they don’t have the original voice cast! (runs to room, slams door)”
