Here’s a sneaky look at what Underbelly was up to last night filming in Lane Cove.
Recreating 1980s King’s Cross, complete with infamous haunts such Porky’s, The Love Machine and the Golden Apple.
Spruced up cars from the era including Monaros, Renaults and Datsun 180Bs drove down the strip.
The Underbelly crew again closes off Longueville Rd tonight but assures locals they can still get “the best food and coffee in Sydney” at Cafe Zivelli from 5:30am. Just as well!

As a Lane Cove resident, I can honestly say that Longueville Rd looks better for it!
zzzzzzzzzz
Psst… it’s Longueville Road, not Loungeville Road.
I happened to catch a bit of A Current affair the other night and they had transformed some street into Kings Cross – obvious reasoning being that King Cross is just ridiculously busy. But they did a good job to make it look all the same.
I agree- this will be sensational veiwing! Plus; Is it true Natalie Bassingthwaite will be joining the cast also?
With any period show I love to see if anyone stuffed up putting in the wrong cars or such, hope no one in the background has an iPhone LOL
It looks like it could be even better then the first two classic installments ..if that’s even possible!
Bring on 2010!!
