Auditions: Australia’s Next Top Model

FOX8 fires up its sixth cycle of its most popular brand, with auditions across the country from January.

ANTM5_FINALEFox8 has announced auditions for its sixth series of Australia’s Next Top Model kicking off in Sydney and then onto Brisbane, Melbourne, Bendigo, Adelaide and Perth.

Again hosted by Sarah Murdoch, the series renews its search amongst females aged 16 or older. Catty judges Charlotte Dawson and Alex Perry return to dish out the advice and the barbs. Finalists will again share a house which comprises part of the filming process.

Despite some criticism of the show, notably in 2008 over ‘bullying’ claims, ANTM remains Foxtel’s most successful local franchise. This year runner up Cassi Van Den Dungen was subjected to ‘bogan’ headlines by media and criticised by judge Charlotte Dawson for declining a US agency offer after the final. Next year’s search also includes a regional Victorian audition in Bendigo.

The show’s most successful graduate is Alice Burdeu from 200& whilst last year’s winner Tahnee Atkinson was signed to Priscillas model agency and enjoys a deal with Harpers Bazaar.

The 2010 season will begin later than usual due to host and producer Sarah Murdoch’s maternity.

Auditions will be held in around the country from January 16. Foxtel advises girls 172cm tall and over are welcome to simply turn up.

    Im the mother of a 17 year old daughter. Im not going to tell you she is beautiful, as every mother thinks their kids are beautiful, but i will say that every time we go somewhere and meet people thats the first thing they say, it seems to be the first thing they notice to the point where it sh-ts me. why cant people notice personality… My daughter Breeze (yes thats her real name ) grooms her self to near perfection every day, she completed a susan johnston course, and absolutly loves the camera, and knows how to work it, Is there any way of being notified of, if and when there maybe a 2011 show.

  2. my name is rhiannon and im 19 years old and live in melbourne i have a bit of experience in modeling as i was in 2006 cosmo modeling comp i made it to the end but they wonted or (chose) blonds, im a slim brunet with a nice figger and have been told i have uneicke look a new look unusauly. i would love to try out for next top model its been my dream since the show started around 2004 is there goner be any auditions
