Returning: Gossip Girl

It's not as good as Pay TV having the third series this week, but GO! is returning Gossip Girl to screens next week.

blair-bitchOk admittedly it’s not as good as Pay TV having the third series this week, but GO! is returning Gossip Girl to screens next week.

“The Blair Bitch Project” is the #14th episode of the first series. There were 18 all up.

It’s back on GO! from 10:30pm Thursday December 10th.

  1. Yay; glad to have it back 🙂 altho I got impatient waiting for them to air it and just rented the rest of the first season.

Yeh, i agree with thoughts about the old sitcoms, there does seem to be an awful lot of them on way too frequently. I’d rather more of The Nanny, although they seem to be replaying the same batch of eps, ive seen that one about Hanukkah where Max and Grace are stuck in the snow repeatedly over the last couple of weeks, same with Fraiser. why didnt they just start at the beginning for both shows? or play them kinda all over like with Seinfeld?

  2. @Chad White is Hot While I like Get Smart (and Bewitched), I agree. What’s with all the ’60s sitcoms? They don’t seem to fit. And The Jetsons seems to be on endlessly too.

  3. @Dave

I am aware of the Writers strike that occurred over 2 years ago, and thus GG going on hiatus after 13 episodes. But seriously, season 1 finished last year May, Go! had no reason to stop it at 13. But whatever, ive never trusted Nine’s programming schedule, its so screwed up. Hence why i don’t watch the channel, only for the cricket.

  4. It’s only because Nine stupidly onsold the show to Foxtel before setting up GO, but you can easily guess how Aus GG show fans who don’t get cable TV,
    get access to new episodes.

  5. @ Tasha,

Episode #13 of Season 1 was actually a natural “break” point for Gossip Girl for GO!. Due to the 2007/08 US Writers strike Episode #13 was the last episode that showed in the US for about four months, followed by episodes #14-#18 in a row to finish off the season.

  6. Not sure why all the shows at GO! went off for 2 weeks. Seven won the whole final week.

My tv week mag indicates Season 2 starting in December.

Also I think the 10.30pm start for Gossip Girl is only temporary as there is 40 worst celeb divorces before it and it is 2 hrs. The following week it may be back to its normal time.

  7. Go! seriously stopped Gossip Girl so close to the end?? That is so ridiculous. And again, putting it at 10:30pm? That is an insult to the show. Not that I’ve ever watched Go! but whatever, and if i wanted to watch S1 again, i could just watch my DVD. Fox8 is so much more reliable 🙂

  8. Why are they doing this?

Gossip Girl is a good fit for their target demographics. Same as The Hills. They should also get 90210 and Melrose Place from Ten.

I am in that demographic and want to see this kind of stuff, certainly not Hogan’s Heroes and Get Smart and endless repeats of Seinfeld.

    I do like Charlie’s Angels though : )

  9. So even thought it’s on GO! (2 years late) they have it on at 10:30pm!

    Stick with Fox8 I think…

Love how they are promoting it over there “why have old gossip” or something like that, a clear poke at Nine/GO!
