Bumped: ER, Gossip Girl

GO! flips ER and Gossip Girl timeslots on Thursday nights.

Last night GO! resumed ER at 10:30pm, bringing the drama back for fans who had been lamenting the show’s absence.

Today it announced it would shift the show to 9:30pm, pushing Gossip Girl, which is now in its second series, out to 10:30pm.

Replays will take place at 2am / 3am.

The switcheroo takes effect next week.

  1. Printed guides in Sydney still have 8.30 Side Order, 9.30 Gossip Girl and 10.30 The Hills.

Either they are printed way too far in advance, they don’t get notified of all changes or the editors simply don’t care about the printed TV guides.

Not to mention the fact that teh networks making last minute programming changes means tehy don’t care about them either.

  2. That Side Order Of Life show was terrible it dosen’t deserve the 8:30pm timeslot. Drop Dead Diva was a much better program yet they would put that on at 10:30.

  3. I can see your point Stan and I don’t illegally download shows all the time.
In some cases, like when a network takes the program off the air and puts it on their 2nd channel that I couldn’t get because I live in a regional area, I would have to do it because there are no other means of watching the show.

There are some shows that have already aired in the US that we are still waiting on like Brothers & Sisters and Grey’s Anatomy, but I know that they are coming next month so I haven’t seen any new episodes. I am waiting very patiently.

It’s only those shows that get stuffed around by networks like Gossip Girl and ER that I see elsewhere. It’s when this happens, it leaves me uncertain if they will even show all the season or if I miss a couple of episodes because they move time-slots and they don’t tell us. I have to find out on this site.

The networks do it to themselves.

  4. And Stan that is the problem the casual viewers as not fan so man not follow shows to a different time if they are just channel surfing, ‘new’ shows lie Side Order are probably doing better because the vast majority of people in this country have not heard about the show. Even though it is over 2 years old I had not heard about it (that I can remember) and I like to think I keep close track of most of what comes out of the US.

Shows survive on there loyal viewers, the ones who watch each week and will go to the show but the catch is take the show away and fans will find a way, be it legal or not to watch.
