Olympics catch-up: Nine

Nine will launch its online catch-up service for the Olympic Games this Friday.

Both Free to Air and Pay TV are launching their online catch-up sites for coverage of the Winter Olympics.

Nine will offer a catch-up service at ninemsn.com.au/vancouver, which will showcase highlights from Nine’s coverage across the 17 days.

Jeffrey Browne, Executive Director of the Nine Network, said: “Our catch-up TV offering provides an exciting and innovative way to service Nine’s viewers who may be unable to view the 2010 Olympic Winter Games live on Nine at the time of our program broadcast. We are delighted to partner with ninemsn in bringing this great service to our viewers.”

Todd Forest, ninemsn’s Director of Content and Audience Experience, said: “The 2010 Olympic Winter Games promises to be a great sporting spectacular and we’re excited to be providing an easy way for people to catch-up on all the thrills and spills in Vancouver.

“Whether you’re at work or at home outside prime time, ninemsn’s catch-up TV service is free and accessible to everyone with an internet connection.”

The dedicated catch-up TV service launches this Friday 12th at ninemsn.com.au/vancouver.

  1. What twit chose Eddie Maguire to host this stuff….? He is homophobic, unenlightened, ignorant and basically pathetic and boring., His commentary at the opening ceremony was pathetic, for goodness sake focusing on the Aussie team going into the stands when two or more other teams were entering the stadium..!
His comments about many of the male participants, hinting at their sexuality or lack of stereotypical masculinity is boring , repetative, and shows Eddies age. He is rapidly becoming irrelivant, and inappropriate in such an international, multicultural, and modern society. Roy and HG were far more relivant and entertaining.

  2. I guess this’ll be a test for a normal Internet TV service? If we count TEN’s half-hearted effort, then Nine are really the last network to ‘catch up.’

  3. how long after broadcast does it appear online?
as soon as its gone to air?
if so, i could watch it near-live then rather on a 3 hr delay here in perth
