2010 Eurovision hosts revealed

"Good evening Europe!" Oslo has chosen three presenters for Eurovision 2010, to be staged in late May.

Erik Solbakken (centre) and Haddy N’jie (left) have been chosen to host the Eurovision Song Contest from the Telenor Arena in Oslo, Norway, this May.

Nadia Hasnaoui (right) will present the voting and scoreboard.

125 million television viewers are expected to view the event on the 25th, 27th and 29th of May (European time).

“We will be hosting great artists from 39 countries, and what I’m looking forward to the most is to meet them and see their acts. At the same time, I have to say it will be a special moment to be allowed to say ‘Good evening, Europe!’ on Saturday 29 May,” says Solbakken.

We’ll just be hoping they bring enough Euro-flavour to the big night ….and maybe mucking up the voting later on. Besides, host rapport, cliches and frocks are half the fun of the event.

This will be the second time that more than two hosts will present the shows, after the 1999 Contest.

The 2010 Eurovision Song Contest will air on SBS ONE with Julia Zemiro and Sam Pang.

  1. Have always looked forward to,and enjoyed the Eurovision song contest, wish I could say the same about your presenter Julia Zemiro, what a joke!!!!!
Any chance of having the BBC broadcast…..

  2. Ah, Eurovision. It’s not quite the same without the wonderfulness of Wogan in full tiddly flight, but it’s still wonderful. Thoroughly enjoyable and my calendar is marked.

  3. I hear that they will be starting a Eurovision style song contest for Asian countries called Our Sound in November. However, the Eurovision song contest is always on the viewing calendar for me every year, although including the semi-finals for broadcast is probably too much for me, they should just show the finals like they used to do.
