Airdate: Dog Squad, The Truth Behind

Seven's newest factual looks follows working dogs and their handlers as they protect our streets, prisons, airports and borders.

Seven will continue to counter Hey Hey It’s Saturday with factual shows, premiering a new series, Dog Squad at 7:30pm Wednesday, April 21st.

The show follows working dogs and their handlers as they protect our streets, prisons, airports and borders. In the first episode:  Constable Justin and his German Shepherd Tank are first on the scene at an out-of-control suburban street brawl. Detection Dog Ted nabs a prison visitor with a car full of suspect goods. And at the airport, Griff, a plant detection beagle comes across something illegal in a Hawaiian tourist’s luggage.

It will be followed with new Crash Investigation Unit at 8pm, The Pacific at 8:30pm and a repeat of Criminal Minds at 9:40pm.

At 10:40pm a new series, The Truth Behind asks if “the world’s most iconic myths and peculiar phenomena stand up to scientific analysis?”

Tonight we set out to verify one of the most controversial biblical disaster stories of all time – Noah’s Ark. Using the latest scientific technology, we challenge a group of historians and naval architects to unravel the mystery surrounding this boat like formation.

  1. Dear producers,

Just wanted to let you know that I support the show because most people don’t know how important dogs can be.

    Keep up the good work!

    Aaron

  2. there definitely comes a time when you become factual-ed out. That has reached me. No more new factuals, I’ll stick with border and the force, and new highway when it comes back on, but that’s all!

Maybe i’ll pick this show up in repeat some time down the road, as it doesn’t look that bad, but seven, you need to learn to give better spacing for your shows.

  3. david whats with the repeat of criminal minds they’re still got a few new episodes up their sleeve why would they ruin the run in from the pacific that seems to be very stupid on 7s part.

  4. It will be interesting to see the ratings for Dog Squad. Although Nine will want the show to fail against Hey Hey, its success could potentially rub off onto Send in the Dogs, much like the success Nine has had with Customs, mostly due to the success of Seven’s Border Security.

  5. Wow welcome to Big Brother 2010, Seven is watching you. What will be the next insider view of our society, Garbage Collection Squad, follow the Garbos as they deal with picking up bins, and fighting management. Honestly is there nothing in our society that doesn’t have a Channel Seven, Nine or Ten camera crew.

  6. Is Dog Squad an international show that will be dubbed? The only thing worse than a banal factual, is one ripped off from another country ie. Customs.

  7. What a waste to put repeats of an established show behind what will prob be the big hitting “Pacific”.

They could use the huge lead in of “The Pacific” to get another show off the ground, or give some good sampling and love to a show that has good potential that just needs a little love.
