In this second look at some of the songs competing in this year’s Eurovision Song Contest it’s time to look at the up-tempo dance songs.
Or at least those that are trying to pass themselves off as dance….
ALBANIA: Juliana Pasha – It’s All About You
ICELAND: Hera Björk – Je Ne Sais Quoi
MOLDOVA: SunStroke Project & Olia Tira – Run Away
GREECE: Giorgos Alkaios & Friends – OPA!
FRANCE: Jessy Matador – Alllez Olla Olé
TURKEY: maNga – We Could Be The Same
UNITED KINGDOM: Josh Dubovie – That sounds good to me

Craig I used the official videos from Eurovision, but I realise the UK has since given their entry new audio. Thank God. Switzerland I agree is probably sitting on the fringe of dance. It’s very Neil Tennant but without the irony.
Bit of a shame that this year is low on upbeat music in favour of bland ballads.
Just curious, did you not consider Switzerland a dance song, David? It could go either way.
to be fair to that UK song, the version you have featured is from the national final back in March and is absolutely dreadful, its actually been re-worked several times since then and is quite a catchy little pop song now (well, Pete Waterman and Mike Stock did write it after all)
