Report: FlashForward, Scrubs, Better off Ted & Romantically Challenged axed

FlashForward, Scrubs, Better off Ted and Romantically Challenged with Australia's Josh Lawson are all reportedly cancelled.

ABC in the US is believed to have axed FlashForward, Scrubs, Better off Ted and Romantically Challenged.

Michael Ausiello at EW.com reports that multiple sources confirm the cancellations but ABC had no comment.

Romantically Challenged starred Alyssa Milano and Aussie Josh Lawson as play a thirtysomething man torn between his new girlfriend and needy best friend. Only 3 episodes have aired in the US. It was due to air on Nine.

FlashForward’s demise follows sinking ratings for the sci-fi drama which was launched in a blaze of promotion, including in Australia. Ironically the axe comes not long after the April 29 date in the storyline when the character’s were shown a glimpse of their future.

If only they had known…

The ending for Scrubs confirms the news that Zach Braff revealed on his Facebook last month: “Many of you have asked, so here it is: it appears that “New Scrubs”, “Scrubs 2.0″, “Scrubs with new kids”, “Scrubbier”, “Scrubs without JD” is no more. It was worth a try, but alas… it didn’t work. zb”

  1. Scrubs Season 9 is very fresh and I like it a lot. The brand new characters have great on screen relationships and I think it is by far the best Season. This coming from someone who was at first reluctant to even like the show after John Dorian left. The relationship between Drew and Denice is fantastic and Denice and Turks friendship blossoming was something unexpected and very funny. They have great funny moments in the show and serious ones. The new style of the show is one that is very epic in my opinion. Show is awesome now. I can’t wait for Season 10!

  2. I hope Better Off Ted isn’t axed, it is a rare actual comedy, similar to the brilliant but ill fated andy richter controls the universe.

  3. Better off Ted is one of the funniest shows to come out of the US. Its very sad to hear it being axed. I hope it comes to FTA TV so we all can see how funny it is.

Its LOL comedy, a rarity now.
