House tops Timeshifting

House picked up the most extra viewers in Timeshifted results for Week 25.

Timeshifted ratings results for Week 25 (June 13 – 19) show House picked up the most extra viewers, at 135,000.

It fits with late night dramas frequently being the most recorded shows that are watched later by viewers.

FlashForward picked up some 60% of its live / as live audience, with another 78,000 watching later.

  1. Don’t have week to week figures (at least not that I can see), but as a trend this doesn’t surprise me. Often the Sunday night line-up is live F1 on One from 9pm, with House followed by delayed F1 on Ten. I would expect a number of people to watch the F1 live on One and record House on Ten to watch later. The specific week referred to in the article was the weekend of Le Mans (though I don’t recall if this specifically was on at the same time as House, but I think it was), so same principle. Live sport takes precedence in any clash.

  2. If people are timeshifting, it’s likely that they are fast forwarding through the ad. In that resect I don’t think the networks should take consolidated figures into account.

  3. @aznfratboy – not unless you have a ratings meeter box…

    I hope the networks are finally taking these numbers into account before cutting or moving shows that under perform.

  4. So, which ratings are considered “official” – because this is a very different list. It allays fears of good wife being axed too (which is my drug of choice)
