Actor Michael Caton will appear on two networks when Hot Property airs on Nine later this month.
The factual show, previously airing on Seven, joins Nine from 8pm Wednesday July 28th -a prime slot for a show that might otherwise be weekend fodder.
Sometimes making the decision to sell a much loved family home can be tough. Join Michael Caton on the ride through the highs and the lows as properties go under the hammer.
Warming up the property genre may prove beneficial when Nine delivers its new version of The Block.
The show follows a repeat of Two and a Half Men at 7:30pm and precedes The Farmer Want a Wife.
Australian film and television legend, Michael Caton, will present a new series of Hot Property which premieres Wednesday, July 28, at 8.00pm on Channel Nine.
The new series captures all the drama of selling properties by auction. We meet the nervous vendors and buyers and watch the market dictate the real price of Aussie real estate. Packed with up-to-date market info, Hot Property is a must-watch for any home buyer.
Each week Hot Property will follow the fortunes of buyers, sellers and renovators around Australia who are negotiating the challenges of the real estate game. They will either be filled with joy or downcast as they try to make their dreams come true.
Michael Caton, star of the classic property movie The Castle, said: “With the real estate market recovering, what an exciting time for a new series of Hot Property on Nine. Will it continue to soar or will it crash? Stay tuned, boys and girls.”
In episode one Hot Property heads to the beachside suburb of Grange in Adelaide. When Liliana and Antonio bought their single-story house it was going to last them forever. Over the last four years they have lovingly renovated the brick home, turning it from a simple two-bedroom cottage into an impressive, contemporary four-bedder with a granny flat out the back. But working all hours took its toll on Antonio and last September he suffered a massive heart attack.
The shock was enough for Liliana, who has survived breast cancer twice herself, to make the decision to sell and move to a smaller property so Antonio can afford to give up work or at least take it easy. It’s going to be a very emotional sale, but for the sake of Antonio’s health they have to move on.
The program then moves to the Sydney suburb of Blacktown where Emily and Bradley are about to sell their first property together, a two-bedroom weatherboard cottage, so they can escape the Sydney rat race and move closer to Emily’s family on the NSW Central Coast. They already have their eye on their next home and need to clear $310,000 to make the move. Will they get the result they need?

Love this show and Caton’s got the right persona as host. Good move by Nine..
I wonder if Caton’s reading of the autocue has improved?
@ryaneco: because Seven let the rights lapse and did not bother to renew the show with the production company (Beyond).
RE Garion: New eps
Are these new episodes, or old ones?
Why??? I give it one week in that slot before it’s replaced by more 2.5 Men.
Why has this show defected to Nine? It was always one of Seven’s strong summer hits.
Not to mention the old Hot Property is showing on 7TWO at the moment, so technically 3 channels.
