Kim Kilbey, one-time host of Australia’s Funniest Home Videos, also has her sights set on a trophy.

Kilbey is a producer on the US series of Dancing with the Stars, which is nominated for Outstanding Reality.

She worked as a Story Assistant on the 2005 series and has worked as a Producer on Grease: You’re the One That I Want! and Hell’s Kitchen.

Kilbey has come a long way since being a ‘Car Model’ on Wheel of Fortune in 1987. In addition to her hosting AFHS, she was in the 2005 disaster Skating On Thin Ice.

In 2008 Dancing was also nominated. At the the time Kilbey told news.com.au her US career was inspired by Eden Gaha’s success with Survivor.

“He was my inspiration and we just worked together on The Chopping Block, with (Australian producers) Julian (Cress) and David (Barbour),” she said.

“I never dreamed I’d be going to the Emmys, let alone nominated.

A number of other Aussies will also be hoping The Pacific has some wins today.

  1. I worked with Kim on Funny Home Videos and she is the most delightful person. Couldn’t be happier for her success. However, I should point out that Kim did far more than 1 year on AFHVS. It was definitely three and my have been four years as host.
