Simpsons update

Fans of The Simpsons will have noted that there are two episodes from Season 21 still unscheduled by TEN before the return of Glee.

Fans of The Simpsons will have noted that there are two episodes from Season 21 still unscheduled by TEN before the return of Glee.

The first of these “The Bob Next Door” is now set for 6:30pm Saturday September 25, directly before The Simpsons Movie airs at 7pm. This is also AFL Grand Final day, when a lot of TVs will have been switched on.

Keep you posted on the future of “Judge Me Tender”…..

Ironically, the first episode of S22 is a Glee-themed episode, “Elementary School Musical.”

  1. The Moe Letter Blues episode is one I want to watch. It has an extended couch gag that doesn’t use the Simpsons theme. It has a theme song from one of the channel seven food shows had similarities to MasterChef. I(t is shown like they are sign it. I found this out on Wikipedia. Maybe Sunday 7pm might be a good slot. Sandwiched between MF and MC it’s a no brainier it has win some figures?

  2. @Tony Bee: as a critic of the newer simpsons episodes, I’m going to have to aggree with you on this point. The last few aired eps of season 21 have actually had humourous moments and meaningful stories. Although not a good as eps from the 90s, they certainly are a step up from the last few seasons.

  3. I actually think putting simpsons on a saturday is a lot better then weekday at 7.30pm. In saying that just as long as its a new ep i don’t care. I still like the simpsons whether its not as good as before or not. The simposons have the runs on the board Seth McFarlanes shows do not.

  4. The latest season of The Simpsons has actually marked a return to the style of humour that made the show great in the first place. The last few seasons were fairly ordinary.

  5. Anyone really think that Gene Simmons Family Jewels on 7mate is a threat? Seriously… Saturday not a bad night for a new Simpsons episode – could do well considering all other options.

Hopefully the final ep will be Sat Oct 2, just before Ten is taken over by the Comm Games.

  6. They should have cut that stupid Halloween repeat last night at 8pm and forget about undercover boss. Then they might have had no worries. And by the way The Simpsons movie is airing for the third time since October Fri 7th 2009. If anything goes we might have a Mean Girls like pattern! And finally the Grand final day means 10 could loose numbers big time! Why not back iot on MC Junior. There is a way to get the numbers for the show. Oh well when it goes to 11 for some of us, time will tell weather moving it will be good or bad.

  7. I don’t see how “a lot of TVs being switched on” helps a great deal… They’ll be switched onto 7mate (still the stupidest name for a station ever) and the owners of said TVs will be legless by the time The Simpsons comes on. Seems like a rather efficient way to bury the show, rather than expose it.

Also in future, can we get a post of what’s on at the same timeslot as Glee? I’d watch the weather test pattern on SBS in preference to that mental chewing gum.

  8. Glee. God I hate that show, and that was before I knew it was interfering with The Simpsons! Now, now I’m just glad I don’t use Twitter or I might lose my car over it or something…

  9. I reckon Season 22 will be held off until Eleven launches. Best enjoy the last first run Simpsons eps on 10 while you can.

I’d say “Judge Me Tender” is being saved for a special night, shared with the Neighbours finale on Ten, to officially suggest a launch date for 11.

  10. What about moe letter blues? and to surveil with love? these 2 eps follow tonights ep”The squirt and the whale” and before the final 2 eps”The bob next Door” and “Judge me tender”
