The Nine Network will broadcast the 2010 Telstra Premiership Rugby League Grand Final exclusively LIVE in 3D on Sunday.

After a gripping finals series the 2010 minor premiers, St George Illawarra Dragons, will meet the 2009 wooden-spooners, the Sydney Roosters, at ANZ Stadium for the Telstra Premiership crown.

The merged entity St George-Illawarra team has yet to win a premiership and the Dragons last tasted success in 1979. But under supercoach Wayne Bennett – who has a 100 percent Grand Final success rate with six wins from six attempts – the Saints go marching in on Sunday looking to break their drought.

And with 2010 Coach of the Year Brian Smith and Captain of the Year Braith Anasta in charge, the Roosters are out to become the first team to go from last place to premiers in one season since 1934.

Nine will begin a massive day of rugby league at 10.00am with the Sunday Roast, followed by The Sunday Footy Show broadcast live from ANZ Stadium at 11.00am. All the action on the field begins live at midday when the Canterbury Bulldogs play the Windsor Wolves for the NSW Cup. At 2.00pm the South Sydney Rabbitohs take on the NZ Warriors in the Toyota Cup Grand Final before the Grand Final kick-off at 5.00pm.

  1. Is it wrong that I’m looking forward to the NSW Cup final more than the premiership final? Hopefully the mighty Belmore boys can take out reggies for the second year running.

  2. I have this crazy thing when it comes to Rugby League games in that, I tune in to, ya know, what a game of Rugby League!

Short of Jesus walking to the middle of the pitch, turning water in to wine and than apologizing for Willie Mason existing…..I really couldn’t give two stuffs who they get for the “entertainment”!

Its the same cookie cutter rubbish every single year at every single sport.
