FOX8 nabs Live to Dance

Live to Dance, hosted by Andrew Gunsberg, joins FOX8 next year, as part of a serious array of dance titles.

US dance series Live to Dance, to be hosted by former Channel [V] and Australian Idol host Andrew Gunsberg, will air on FOX8 next year.

Based on the UK series Got to Dance, it will air in the US on CBS with Paula Abdul, choreographer Travis Payne and Kimberly Wyatt (Pussycat Dolls).

The show marks a serious array of dance titles by FOX8 next year. Live to Dance (US), Got to Dance (UK) and an Australian version of Got to Dance will all be on air.

Gunsberg’s TV career started on Channel [V] after sending in a video of himself as an audition in 1999.

Executive Director of Television Brian Walsh said “Andrew began his television career at Foxtel and we’re delighted to welcome him back as the host of the major event series Live to Dance.

“FOX8 will premiere the series in 2011 as the curtain raiser to our Australian production Got to Dance.”

Got to Dance will be produced by Shine Australia. Production commences later this year.

  1. If people have got to dance or live to dance – why do they need to do it on television?

Furthermore, do they really need three versions of the same show? Everyone knows FOX8 is only good for The Simpsons, Futurama and Family Guy.

  2. @ Brent Yeah I actually kinda agree now… wonder if Foxtel will change the name of the aussie version now?
@ gary Fox8 is awesome. Better than the 3 main FTA channels, that’s for sure! At least I can watch Glee in HD on there. 😉

  3. hey David, it still says Andrew G’s hosting “Got to Dance” on the home page.

quite excited to see how he fares on US TV shows. Better than Rove i hope!
