Jennifer Hawkins will part ways with Seven when her contract expires at the end of the month.
“I have had six years with Seven – it’s been amazing. That’s been an exclusive deal, but I am now looking to explore different networks, project to project,” she told the Sunday Telegraph.
In that time she has appeared of a number Seven brands including The Great Outdoors and Make me a Supermodel.
This year she has been absent from appearing on any show with any kind of regularity.
Insiders hint that she’s going to be the first in a long line of high-profile poachings from either network.
Such a move could prove very productive. Her brand is popular with viewers. Hawkins is seen as very down to earth despite her long successes.

“her brand is popular with viewers”…??? wtf, what does she do anyways? she is a complete waste of money, and isnt a drawcard, any bimbo can do they weather and occasion getaway spot, if 9 think paying her a fortune to do that, then they have more mney than sense.
She’s got nice hair and she can talk, there’s gotta be a job for her *somewhere*.
She’s being replaced by another former Miss Universe Rachel Finch.
“Her brand is popular with viewers.”? Given that “The Great Outdoors” died while she was on it and “Make Me a Super Model” was a flop, I fail to see how she can be seen as any form of ratings asset. A lovely looking young woman, and no doubt a nice one, but a feather in the Seven audience drawcard cap? I think not.
Everyone loves Jen so she’d be a good pick up for Nine. Getaway would be ideal for her.
maybe Nine should train her to be a weather presenter…
What exactly does she *do* anyway?
Two words: Over exposed.
People are tired of Jennifer Hawkins.
Well according to the article it says she is headed to Nine and that will be announced in a couple of weeks officially. She is expected to be a reporter for Today and Getaway. It was kinda expected but just 3 months ago in an article in the same paper she said she was very happy with Seven and she hadn’t had as much work because she asked Seven to be lighter on her this year so i don’t know anymore.
The big question though is how many are defecting both ways and who are they?
i thought it was strange on beauty and the geek that they had 3 miss universes judge the bikini competition and JH wasn’t one of them.
Possibly could have happened at the conclusion of her previous contract, they really couldn’t find her a proper vehicle outside of TGO or Make me a supermodel Australia.
Wherever she ends up (presumably nine), i’m not too sure what she would be doing, nor the frequency of her appearances. However i wouldn’t be surprised to see them flog her as Miss Universe ad nausea. True that she will always be a former Miss Universe winner, however i think Channel 7 had her best “tv” years, directly after winning.
RE Johnson: I always thought that Megan appearing on Nine had something to do with her David Jones deal, rather than a deal with the network.
Host of Don’t Stop Believing maybe?
Is it possible for Megan Gale and Jennifer Hawkins to appear on Nine together? Megan Gale does not have a contract with Nine but appears semi-regularly on programs such as Today.
love her i hope she goes to ten!!!
she is a great personaliy, so dancing with the stars and the great outdoors were great fits for her but she struggles in hosting roles and doing interviews.
Tom williams and ernie dingo were also dumped by 7 earlier this year so i guess the TGO team have now completely split up.
Oh no! How will Seven cope? If only more former Miss Universe contestants wanted television presenting jobs …
