Ali Moore to co-host Lateline

Ali Moore has been announced as the new presenter on Lateline, following the exit of Leigh Sales.

Ali Moore has been announced as the new presenter on Lateline, following the exit of Leigh Sales to the new-look 7:30.

Moore has been hosting Afternoon Live on ABC News 24 and previously hosted The 7.30 Report and Lateline Business.

Moore began her career as a journalist over 20 years ago at 3LO (now 774 ABC Melbourne), after completing a Bachelor of Arts at Melbourne University. In 1992, following 6 years with the radio news and current affairs team, she ventured north to Beijing as the ABC’s China Correspondent.

She will be sharing the hosting duties with Tony Jones.

Meanwhile, Tom Iggulden will take up the role of Lateline political correspondent.

  1. Thanks Ali for a comprehensive coverage on Coal Seam Gas & all its dangers.!
    This threat to our country, has to be suspended, to allow scientists & enviromentalists to study this at length. We all need to urge State & Federal Governments to place a Moritorium on this industry before massive damage is inflicted on our land, water & enviroment . Thank you so very much for your
    in deepth questioning on this problem. We now need to question State Premiers
    also on this issue, otherwise there will be mistakes & lots of buck passing. They
    use the blackmail about jobs! but this is a wider issue than jobs. Congratulations!!!!
    Thank god , we need more questioning & honesty urgently.

  2. I will miss Leigh Sales. She was a consumate presenter and had exceptional interview skills. I will watch with interest and hope that Ali measures up to her predecessor.
