And here it is…. the premiere date of Adam Hills new talk show.
The weekly, hour-long talk show will screen Wednesdays at 8.30pm on ABC1, premiering February 9.
As a result Spicks and Specks will be delayed this year.
The highly-anticipated show promises “all the usual talk show trimmings – celebrity guests, great comedy and live music – with all the excitement and spontaneity you’d expect from one of the country’s best live comedians.”
Many of us have been waiting for a long time for Hillsy to roll out his own Tonight show, he has all the attributes required for the role. But Adam Hills In Gordon Street Tonight will not be live to air -unlike Ben Elton’s Live from Planet Earth on Nine. That will make this a fun contest to watch.
The show will be repeated on Saturdays at 7.30pm, ABC2 and will also available on iView.
Season 7 of Spicks and Specks will commence after Easter. Hang in there Myf and Alan fans.

Love Adam Hills in Gordon street…a lot!
… Seems every Australian network has their own overexposed & untalented stars now, huh?
I can’t wait to watch Adam Hill’s new show, but I hope Spicks and Specks comes back soon
Lame.
This guy is so middle of the road…and so ABC safe.
@BM-dog: Gordon Street is a street in Elsternwick in Melbourne’s south-east. It is where ABC’s Melbourne studios are located (the 7pm news was produced there until it moved to Southbank a few years ago).

Can we have the Graham Norton Show in prime time on ABC1 too?”
Why? Can you not get ABC2?
very funny man and i can see this working. i could see this working on a nightly basis on the comedy channel
What the hell is Gordon Street?
Here’s hoping Hillsy has got himself some new gag writers to go with his new show – the “dad jokes” he likes to trot out on Spicks & Spicks are getting pretty tiresome.

Love Ads in Spicks and Specks….
But love his standup even more….
Should be live. Hope it is at least live to tape.
