ONE and TEN will broadcast the final round of the Surf Coast Knockout tees off at Torquay on Sunday.

In a world first, the first three rounds of the Surf Coast Knockout will be contested under stroke play conditions, while the winner will ultimately be decided on Sunday by a reduced match play format.

The match play will be played over six holes only, with tied matches set to be decided by a ‘knockout hole.’

This is the first time it has been televised live around Australia.

“What we are trying to do through the Surf Coast Knockout is attract a broader audience and create something that non-golfers and golfers can watch, understand and enjoy,” said Max Garske, CEO of the PGA of Australia.

“The final day format of the Surf Coast Knockout will be faster and will produce more immediate results which will translate into more entertaining viewing for both the audience on site and the television audience at home.”

Live scores will also be available at www.pga.org.au

The Surf Coast Knockout airs Sunday 23rd January live from 12.00pm –5.00pm on TEN and 12.00pm –7.00pm on ONE.

  1. Also to add to that this is the second or third time this year that they have decided to delay an event for no reason, making the Basketball delayed after it.

  2. Currently the schedule is delayed on ONE into WA by three hours which also means the NBL match featuring local team Perth is also delayed by three hours after it.

Can you find out David why they are delaying it on ONE into WA as it is punishing Basketball fans.

No need for them to delay sports on ONE that aren’t on the Anti-Siphoning list.
