ELEVEN tops Tuesday’s digital

Just a week after its launch, ELEVEN hits the front of the digital channel pack.

Just a week after its launch, ELEVEN hits the front of the digital channel pack.

On Tuesday night it pulled a share of 4.5% ahead of GO! and 7mate both on 4.3%. It wasn’t the biggest share for the channel yet (Monday night was 5.7%) but it was the first time it landed ahead of the rest.

Neighbours was its top rating show on 319,000.

But it was Seven that ruled Tuesday night with a big network share of 37.4%. Seven’s Australian Open Hewitt v Nalbandian match averaged 984,000 but that was across its marathon session that ended at 1.10am.

Seven’s primary channel share, which was 10% more than Nine, shows it still hogged the viewers for the night.

  1. I too applaud Neighbours hitting 300K. I don’t think it will be long till it hits 400K and will probably hover around there….

If Ten can keep their 800K or so 5PM news audience on TEN and carry it through with their new News slate then I think it will vindicate their decision to go with this new format.

  2. @Pietro

The fact that Neighbours can get 300K on a digital channel is quite outstanding. Digital channels aren’t in homes 100% yet and besides, not many people will watch it anyway. To be the top rating show of the week of any digital program proves that TEN made the right decision in sticking by it all these years.

  3. I do like this new channel, I don’t watch everything, but I do find it more entertaining than others. I’m hoping TEN keeps everything as it is and doesn’t chop and change times of shows, same with the main network when all the main shows start up again they have set times and they stay at that. It will make TEN and Eleven so much easier to watch. Craig Ferguson is a Must watch for me and then Conan which is the only thing I watch on the Nine network, I don’t find David Letterman all that funny, but that’s just me, he enjoyable, but I just find Conan better. If the station keeps this up I see it being very popular and with bigger ratings hopefully they will buy more new shows!! 🙂

I think once ONE is able to get its hands on more sport when the contracts come up it will be better and get better ratings, but until then it is just a waiting game. I wouldn’t mind a 24hour music or movie channel though 🙂

  4. @ Stu, I was a bit hasty in my last response. You can get the song sent to your mobile at the following link. Not sure how secure the site is though. I just did a goggle search on “Craig Ferguson Secretariat song” and this is one of the sites that come up…..
