  1. Come on Austar you still have time to get your act together and run the SKy News UK HD channel on the day.For a short while you did run Foxtel 3D on that very same channel so no excuses!

  2. GEM have been advertising (on Nine) that they will also be showing it in HD. In Sydney and Brisbane, I believe the wedding will only be on GEM cause of NRL commitments.

Having said that, looking at the advanced guide on this site, and it seems it will only be SD upscaled.

  3. Anything from inside Westminster Abbey will be from the BBC as they are the host broadcaster and are the only TV broadcast unit allowed to telecast anything from inside the church. Therefore, no matter what you watch in the leadup the pictures will all be the same once they are inside the church,

  4. How much are we betting that Sky News HD will not be available to Austar subscribers as it is on the same EPG number as Foxtel 3D which Austar refuses to broadcast?

  5. If you want BBC’s coverage rather than Sky, go to UKTV HD 214.

The free-to-airs will probably be an HD-free zone unless GEM decides to simulcast. And simulcasting wastes dollars, as we know.
