  1. This was the first time I’ve ever watched the show and was absolutely hooked. Greast casting, terrific trainers, well edited challenges with drama and heart. I’m bloody impressed by a job well done.

  2. I’m just glad that Leigh didn’t win. I couldn’t stand the Westrens especially Lara.

I’ve watched every season of BL but if it’s families again next year, I won’t be watching. I think it was much more interesting before they did couples and families.

  3. @ Nut, yes I agree with you about Michelle. One night I had the tv on Biggest Loser and I was on the computer. I thought I heard Ja’mie’s voice, then looked at the tv and it was Michelle. I do love Michelle though, and thought she looked absolutely stunning at the Logies.

  4. Congratulations to Emma for being the second female to win The Biggest Loser.
    And also to the Westrens.
Can’t wait for next year’s series. Hope Tiffiny and The Commando come back.

  5. so many people seem to think this was the best series, but I haven’t warmed to any of the contestants at all; they don’t seem to have as much depth as in the past. But I’m prepared to accept it could be just me.

  6. It was good to see Emma win. Normally I hate when shows bring contestants back but Emma worked so hard on the outside and deserved another shot.

I thought the Westeren family would take out the family prize. They worked hard & were always near the top of the leaderboard.

I was actually proud of Sharleen taking out the 20 grand. At the beginning of the series you would never have htought she would get as far as she did.

It was also good to see the difference in Damien.

I read somewhere that Leigh said it would have been to obvious to propose to Lra on tv and a little cheesy. He wanted to do it in a private moment where it was just the two of them.

Well done to Hayley on another great job of hosting. She really is a beautiful person and Im pretty sure the Commando wont be rushing to take on an all female team soon.

  7. loved this season, the presence of the new trainers really livened things up.

i loved the moon family, wish they won, but ultimately, as an older group of mums (bar sara, though shes great!!) their reward is more time with their loved ones/families. 🙂

emma looked great – i loved how well she and meg did.

i think lara believes she will get married now they have the money to do it, i dont understand why they wouldn’t at least we engaged by now, money be damned. i think leigh’s just too lazy to get a real job and put a ring on it.

lol at the makeovers that just aired, most of them look vastly different now.

haley was a great host, she always has been. a joy to watch at the finale. i love how genuinely happy she was for the contestants.

  8. I don’t watch the show mainly because of the format, which I really detest (all that talking about what we have just seen).

I did watch it last night and you can’t help but feel happy for all the contestants. Well done to all. The fashion and make up person should also get a special mention.

I don’t know if it would make any better TV, but I would prefer the show to focus on the techniques on weight loss (this may conflict with their commercial sponsors). I think there is a lot to the mental side of pushing through barriers that could be explored through the show. There are a lot of people out there who want to lose weight and this may help attract a bigger audience.

  9. Well done Emma. Was with you from the beggining. Wonder if Ch9s reality show Big will capture the same interest as The Biggest Loser.

  10. Great series this year…judging by the audition call Hayley made during the finale, sounds like they are running with families again next year…good call. Having another 2 trainers there full time has really freshened things up. I really thought Leigh might have proposed to Lara during the finale, but apparently not!

  11. The best season by far – it really is the personalities of the contestants that made it so entertaining – never holding back and giving every part of their true emotions : Sharlene, Leigh, Lara, and most of all Sarah.

The addition of Tiffiny and The Commando livened up all the trainers – and Michelle has always been a bit out there – doesn’t anyone think her mannerisms and personality remind you of Mr G and Ja’mie from “Summer Heights High”!? Her abrupt assertiveness kills me!

I’d love to see a more “Big Brother” style show next year with more of the contestants interacting – getting to see them develop these friendships they talk and cry about.

And this season has definitely shown us the biggest change for a contestant in attractiveness levels – holy crap Leigh is god damn handsome!

  12. I think Hayley is such a fabulous host, so much better than Ajay!

I just wish they’d stop with the bringing people back…if you are out, you are out!

  13. @ Leigh-Roy,

If they were to announce the winning family first, then by subtracting the other family member’s weight loss from the total weight loss (per family) we can work out the amount of weight lost by the final four, so thus doing final four had to be first.

However yes I do agree that Emma’s “moment” was gone due to doing the families weigh-in afterwards.

  14. Seems as though the increase in ratings has done its job as well with Hayley announcing Season Seven (a second families edition) applications are now open.

  15. I don’t think that’s right sir. I think Sharl (love child of Judy Moran and Betty from ‘hey dad’) only won $20 grand. Felt like a bit of a rip off having the grand prize go to a contestant we barely knew. Production twist backfire.

  16. Ooops… Sharlene won $20,000 rather than $100,000 !

Do you think they got the order wrong? Announce biggest losing family first? Just seemed akward and the shine was taken off The Biggest Loser = Emma

  17. Really enjoyed tonight’s finale. Some champion results. I loved the Westrens from about the third of forth week – just wish Leigh proposed to Lara!

Ps. Sharlene won 20k not 100k for the eliminated prize!
