Nine’s chip off the MKR Block?
Is Nine's promo for The Block just a bit too close to one Seven made for My Kitchen Rules?

It must be a week for “plagiarism” …..but while it can’t be levelled at Nine’s new promo for The Block, there do seem to be some similarities with one of Seven’s 2011 promos for My Kitchen Rules.
Tiny contestants running amok amongst giant utensils…. you be the judge.
At least it’s not as blatant as rip-offs by Rescue, Wide World of Sports, Underbelly -or even Seven’s AFL “Love this game” clone.

@ John – “Taio Cruz – Dynamite”
Does antone know thw name of the song for the promo on the block????
@jay jay – you have an opinion and, no matter how ludicrous it is, you’re perfectly entitled to express it. And I’m perfectly entitled to say if I agree with it or not. That’s how these things work.
I wouldn’t normally have bothered (since fanbois rarely alter their position) but your sly dig suggesting that David was manufacturing controversy simply because he was sitting around twiddling his thumbs was too much to let slide.
You don’t attack my opinions but apparently they’re “moronic”? You must be using a different dictionary from mine.
“Slow news day” claims overlook that I frequently log stories of varying editorial weight. No plans to change that anytime soon.
i like both – they show a preparedness to spend big on graphics and promotion without letting the promos get away with being as tedious as the actual programs may be.
