Renewed: Teen Wolf

MTV's drama performs well enough in the US to win a second season of 12 episodes.

MTV drama Teen Wolf has been renewed for a second season, set to return with 12 new episodes in 2012.

MTV’s Head of Programming, David Janollari, said in a statement, “We’re incredibly proud of this show. Executive producer Jeff Davis has brought an exciting, cinematic story to life with a breakout young cast who our audience has wildly embraced.

“Picking up Teen Wolf for a second season marks another step towards the further diversification of our schedule, with this big, bold, entertaining scripted series.”

Tyler Posey stars as Scott McCall, the high school student turned werewolf who must try to maintain a normal life while keeping his secret under wraps.

Teen Wolf’s renewal comes weeks after MTV’s decision to cancel the US version of Skins.

The series premiered on Seven two weeks ago but was moved to a later timeslot after just one episode.

  1. I don’t understand why people don’t like this, it is getting over 3 million audience members hooked into every week in america. Don’t be another idiot that gets rid of it

  2. @ secret squirrel – nor am I 17 …(I wish!!)….. The Twilight movies did smashing business and Teen Wolf would appeal to to the same audience. Production values were no better or no worst than similar shows eg (Vampire Diaries, Supernatural etc) so I find it surprising that Teen Wolf didn’t have at least twice the audience for episode one….
