Big Bang is back

Nine will return The Big Bang Theory to 7pm weeknights following the end of The Block.

As tipped yesterday, Nine will return The Big Bang Theory to 7pm weeknights following the end of The Block.

The show resumes 7pm Monday August 22nd.

The team from The 7PM Project will probably be very happy to hear that….

  1. I am sure the team at 7pm project will be happy to hear that this garbage won’t be coming back anytime soon before the summer.

Time for something New Nine. You have done Wedding/Wife and Home Renovating Shows already how about a home grown sitcom like we used to have when Kerry Packer was alive

  2. I Would rather them show anything other than more American Filler or Farmer want’s a wife.Instead of Big Bang Theory they should have started on filming a News/Chat Show with Karl Stefanovic and Leila McKinnon while the block was on the air and put it into production the day that ended.

  3. Hell no to the Farmers Wants a Wife. I’d rather watch Big Bang Theory than that Bachelor-wannabe rubbish.

What a pathetic concept for a series – some hick can’t get a wife, so airs all his dirty laundry on national TV in an attempt to get some desperate bimbos to fall in love with him. What a joke

  4. Whatever happened to the viewers Pleas to Bring back Price is Right or Temptation?Nine as usual swept them under a rug and continued to show nauseating american gap filler. This was the same network that couldn’t save Postcards yet can afford to show this crap.

  5. Thumbs down to TBBT repeats, and repeats and repeats, agree that channel nine flog all their shows to death, dont have any time for this channel any more, gone from number one a few years ago to the bottom of the pack..

  6. Won’t watch it period. It’s on Eddie McGuires Network. You can’t watch TBBT,Ellen or the View without seeing a promotion for Hot Seat at least once an hour or day

  7. Even a News/Chat Show with Karl Stefanovic and Leila McKinnon would be a huge improvement over TBBT.This is living proof Nine had no clue in how to run a Network.Yes It’s cheaper than making an Aussie Made Show or a quiz yes but sooner or later Viewers are going to get fed up and switch elsewhere. Were a 7pm Project household these days and will continue to be till Nine finally puts something other than American Nauseating Gap Filler at 7pm

  8. the small clips I saw of this series I got the impression the audience/writers were laughing at the nerds not with them. Also I think the Futurama writers are better with a few of them having maths and science backgrounds and with much better plots that poke fun at sci fi tv and film in general better

  9. nine wont learn will they they have killed top gear ramsey 2.5 men and they were starting to kill TBBT untill the block came along now they are going to finish killing it by flogging it to death

  10. ch9 & ch10 just seem to be handing success on a plate to ch7 all the time. Its not like 7 are doing anything that spectacular now…..its just that their only commercial competitors are so abysmal at running a network

  11. TBBT was originally axed by Nine due to poor ratings when it first started. How times have changed!? I enjoyed it when it was on once a week but how anyone can watch 10+ episodes of this show per week is beyond me. I hope figures for The 7PM Project improve when The Block wraps up.

  12. I do love this show… I think it’s the best written sitcom in at least a decade or so (and I’m usually into the 50s-80s classics). Discovered it a while back on Apple TV when a friend told me about it. Have never watched it on Nine though, don’t watch Nine 😉

It’s no doubt a good thing that I haven’t – I’m sure I’d be sick of TBBT by now, considering how Nine flog any show with moderate success (meaning, their most successful shows…)

  13. Perfect photo to sum up how the majority are feeling. I guess that’s it until next year when they return with a new season of The Block. They could always speed through Top Design and put that on at 7pm.

  14. What about new TBBT?

They show is just weeks away from a new season in the US, will they fast track it along with the reboot of 2.5 Men?

I’ve heard some very interesting rumors about TBBT given the season final.

  15. This proves that Ch 9 has no clue of how to run a network. They go from screening a big aussie ratings winner to nauseating american gap filler. You would think that Ch 9 would have another Aussie -made show ready to take over after the block end?.
