Dr. Andrew on breakfast menu

Dr. Andrew Rochford, Kathryn Robinson and Brad McEwan are the latest rumours for a new TEN breakfast show.

More speculation about TEN’s Programming Launch has dashing Dr. Andrew Rochford as a potential co-host of the rumoured new breakfast show.

The Sunday Herald Sun is tipping him to be joined by news presenter Kathryn Robinson and Sports Tonight‘s Brad McEwan.

Rochford, who first appeared in season two of The Block, has been a regular on The 7PM Project, including for hosting duties.

TEN declined to confirm the rumour.

Other names that have been thrown in the mix recently include Sarah Murdoch.

TEN’s 2012 Programming Launch takes place in Sydney on Wednesday night.

  1. Great, if he is not dribbling us facts on the 7pm project his selling us life insurance now we have to put up with for breakfast. keep to being a doctor mate. so over ya.

  2. This maybe a stupid comment but isnt Andrew’s job a doctor. I like it when he is on the 7pm project. I know he does radio so when does he find time to do shifts at the hospital.

In todays world where we are crying out for decent doctors we have one who does radio and now maybe doing breakfast tv instead. Or has he said he wants to take a break and get a tv career.

  3. @ Steve Sydney,
Just because more Melburnians watch TV doesn’t mean that Melbourne is the most important market. Check out Encore mags website which shows the latest network & cities ad revenue for 2011. You may be surprised.

  4. They are going to drop the morning cartoons for this. Will be a sad day at 10 if and when the axe falls on that. They were the only channel at the start of the day 6 to 9am not to show us a news/chat show

  5. Not inspired by anybody mentioned here. They have to be stand outs and different to the 7 and 9 alternative. Possibly aiming at a younger audience. Think Charlie Pickering would be excellent. Sandra sully is a wasted talent so late at night and has been for years. She need to be seen at a more important time for the network. Maybe breakfast then.

  6. @ducko

I hear what your saying however I meant Melb viewers (whom watch the most telly) are very quick to watch a show produced in their city. There are days when half the audience for the The Circle come from Melbourne alone.

Just look at The Block.. same formula. That’s what I meant..

  7. Who is going to watch this?, certainly not me.

Andrew Rochford, please do not take on anything else – you are over exposing yourself. So much so that I grab the remote when I see you coming on, whether it be a commercial or tv show. Stick with your radio job mate.

  8. I see this show having similar ratings to ABC Breakfast. But in TENLand that’s ‘building success’ like 7PM and The Circle. Andrew Roachford’s appeal is not as long lasting as Kochie or Karl, but TEN will stick with it to the bitter end.

I think I’ll stick with Sunrise
