Brownlow bumps X Factor, Rafters.

Seven having the Brownlow Medal next Monday means X Factor moves nights while Rafters and Criminal Minds will be held over.

With Seven having the Brownlow Medal next Monday, the same weeknight it’s doing live X Factor shows, something has had to give.

So next week X Factor will switch its two hour live show to Tuesdays and a verdict show to Wednesdays.

That means other shows have been affected too including Packed to the Rafters -which is out as a result.

On Wednesday World’s Strictest Parents will move to 8:30pm, while Criminal Minds: Suspect Behavior is out for the week.

On Monday night when the Brownlow is on, Sydney and Brissy viewers will have the following:

7:30pm The Force (compile of previous eps)
8:30pm Body of Proof
9:30pm Castle rpt

AFL fans in those cities can catch the event on 7mate. Programming info is here.

Viewers in Melb / Ade / Per will catch-up with a double Body of Proof on Mon. Oct 3.

  1. @ deedeedragons, once again you exaggerate to explain your hatred for all things NRL.

The Brownlow medal count will get much more then 200,000 viewers (1%) of the population next Monday and Seven will win the night in MEL, ADEL & PER comfortably with it.

  2. Thanks for reminding me to find the Brownlow Medal drinking game again. After all, it’s the only reason why some people watch the Brownlow (and to see Demetriou stuff up the names, heaven forbid if Karmichael Hunt got a vote!)

  3. @Brad, why should anyone care about analogue viewers in 2011. If they chose to be lazy and have not yet upgraded then they need to accept that there are things they are going to miss out on.

  4. David does this mean Body of Proof is being fast-tracked because the episode next week shown in Syd/Bris is the Season 1 finale. If its what you are suggesting then its good news.

  5. Wednesday’s verdict show will bump back The World’s Strictest Parents again 🙁

Axle Whitehead deserves much better than this. Channel Seven should have thought about putting TWSP on Monday night instead.

  6. Just show the red carpet and the votes from the final round. The reading out of all the individual votes from every round is interminably dull television.

  7. What a shamozzle! So many changes affecting so many fans of different genres all for… sport! And even amongst the sports fans it’s a limited audience. I agree with others who have commented already in saying this sort of thing should be shown on 7Mate or 7Two.

  8. The Brownlow will get massive ratings in MEL, ADL and PER. Seven will win the night easily even though it will rate very poorly on Mate in BNE and SYD.

If 7 put it on Mate in MEL etc they would be criticised for making analog viewers miss the Awards.

  9. Seven has the rights to Brownlow Medal Count for the next five years as part of the new AFL broadcast deal, so as long as it has The X Factor also, at this time every year The X Factor will be bumped to make way for the Brownlow.

  10. Is 7 fast tracking Body of Proof because we’re at the end of S1 eps.

Why not the final season of DH too? I know they dont really need to fast track but they should for the viewers sake.

  11. So Bris & Syd don’t deserve main channel and have to wait a week for other shows!!
Rafters is losing viewers (it is rating lower than it ever has), not a way to keep them happy….
Programmers think they know what they are doing….

  12. Is 7 fast tracking Body of Proof because were at the end of S1. Why not the final season of DH too? I know they dont really need to fast track but they should for the viewers sake.
