“Will there be an envelope?” on Australia’s Next Top Model

Charlotte Dawson tips Montana to win the Top Model finale, but Brian Walsh just wants to know if there will be an envelope.

So who will win Australia’s Next Top Model tonight at the Sydney Opera House?

Last night at their 2012 Programming launch, Brian Walsh and Charlotte Dawson tipped Montana to win the contest.

“I have to stick with Montana, but Alex (Perry) will disagree with me. He’s got the claws out and wants Liz to win because she looks like a Perry girl,” said Dawson.

“Montana is a bit of a stand-out I have to say.”

“But then you’ve got Liz who had no self-esteem and now has the self-esteem and will no doubt become an international model should she want to,” said Dawson.

Dawson also had kind words for Simone.

“She’s listened to everything we’ve said, has so much self-esteem and she will have a career. We make sure that every girl who makes it into the final cast has that opportunity.”

But Brian Walsh also couldn’t resist asking the obvious question.

“Will there be an envelope tomorrow night?” he asked.

“I suggested some hot buff guys riding unicorns and having this huge envelope,” she answered.

“But it’s going to be fully sick.”

  1. @Armchair Analyst: Just to be pedantic and credit where credit’s due … I know for a fact it was not the director who gave the host confusing information. The at fault person in the OB truck was the producer. Just sayin …

  2. hey David, can you make the header: NTM: And the winner is… (or something like that) for those like me who wont be watching but still have you in RSS feed? It ruins it see the name on the front page.. just a thought.

    1. Not really. I’m up against News Ltd, Twitter, messageboards etc who will all be shouting the winner. So it’s unreasonable to expect a TV blog to withhold TV News. It also doesn’t work as a headline, or in SEO and archival purposes etc. It would be like me never having written a headline that Julie won MasterChef, Jack Vidgen won AGT etc. I also don’t think it helps readers to keep changing the boundaries. I’ve given fair reminder so there shouldn’t be any confusion. At least ANTM is live around the country, no time delays. Thanks.

  3. Well if they want to avoid the debacle that was last years finalle then they would be wise to have an envelope, instead leaving it to the earpeirce and the directer.

  4. I like the show, but I hate these live finales. They drag on for so long.

They should have just ended it last night with the judges deciding, as they do in the US.
